About this site#

The Techno - Anarchist Wiki aims to be an iterative project that collects resources through an ideological framing, providing useful ideas or technical skills that could serve the broader movement.

What is Techno-Anarchy?#

Techno-Anarchy can have many definitions and mean different things to different people. This site is not an attempt to constrict or define Techno-Anarchy but an attempt to expand it.

What is Techno-Anarchy not?#

As inspired by and adapted from the old boys network “100 anti-theses” of cyberfeminism we may provide a list of antithesis to Techno-Anarchusm. Although the limits may be unbound there are territories or ideas we stand against.

Anti-Theses of Techno-Anarchy

Anarchism#

Anarchism is a political theory that is skeptical of the justification of authority and power. But more importantly, anarchism offers a positive theory for human flourishing, based upon the principles of freedom, equality, community, mutual aid, and non-coercive consensus building.

We want to build a better world: one that brings out the best in each one of us.

In the words of Errico Malatesta:

“By anarchist spirit [we] mean that deeply human sentiment, which aims at the good of all, freedom and justice for all, solidarity and love among the people; which is not an exclusive characteristic only of self-declared anarchists, but inspires all people who have a generous heart and an open mind.”
