Techno-Anarchist Exit is both a concept and a practice. Simply put it is the stepping away from big-tech and the use of software to liberate

Together we must come to an understanding that the ongoing use of big-tech platforms is a complicity to the status quo; Aiding normalisation and contributing to the accumulation of capital in many forms; be it monetary, data, social or cultural, ad infinitum.

There are various communities developing tools towards this mutual end goal this movement is infinite and spans the globe. We must work together to identify the patterns, tools, usecases that work within communities, where people have struggled, where technical documentation does not suffice etc.

The grassroots will be the rhizomatic mesh that will replace capitalism or serve as an emancipatory exit. The commons movement will flourish and this site aims to serve the purpose of providing simple to understand resources that may help people use technology for these means.

If there is to be a broad populist exit we must simplify and improve access.

Compiling Resources#

This site maps the rhizome of alternative technical infrastructures that could serve the purpose of socialist, grassroots or commons movements. Including FOSS/FLOSS, local-first software, p2p protocols, mesh networking, and commons-based platforms. The research aims to develop flexible resources that enable people and communities to build, govern, and sustain viable alternatives to centralised digital products.
